Take care to provide naturally grown fruits, berries, and vegetables for our neighbors, especially our children

I have recently retired from working in education at all levels. I see first hand the needs for all of us and especially our children and young adults to have access to fresh fruits and vegetables as a daily part of the nutritional value of what we eat. For this reason, I have now started my new career as a person who is developing a mixed farm replete with ogranic fruits and vegetables. It would certainly be my delight to now provide a variety of nutricious and naturally grown foods, fruits, berries, and vegetables for our children.

That's great to hear, Hubert!  Have you been involved in nutrition education with children in your new career?

Leslie, not directly, But it is an area that I feel that I can contribute to now that I am retired from witking with students in the classroom. I would like to be someone who can provide the naturally grown fruits, berries eg, black berries and blueberries, fruits and vegetables to designated school sites, senior care centers, and kinder-care facilities. just to name a few.

Learn More About CDC’s “Healthy Schools” Initiative

Research shows that when students eat healthy and are more physically active, they do better in school. With the help of CDC, communities nationwide are putting this research into practice, year-round.

Learn more about what communities are doing to help schools become places where students not only learn about the importance of eating healthier and being more physically active but, in fact, eat healthier and move more.
