About Us:
NRPA, with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, provides assistance to park and recreation agencies as they convene coalitions of community leaders and create plans to improve health through changes to policies and the environment. These programs, Action Communities for Health, Innovation, and EnVironmental changE (ACHIEVE) and Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW), provide grants to increase physical activity, improve nutrition, and reduce tobacco use in communities nationwide.
