How it Works

Tobacco Free Florida offers a number of free resources to help make smokers quit. These services are at no cost to the smoker, to anyone living in Florida who is ready to make a quit attempt.

Phone: Call the toll-free Florida Quitline at 1-877-U-CAN-NOW or 1-877-822-6669 to speak with a Quit Coach who will help assess the user’s addiction and create a personalized quit plan.

Online: Enroll in online counseling with the Florida Quitline, where each user can create a personalized, web-based quit plan. Visit www.quitnow.net/florida to enroll.

However a user decides to seek help (on the phone or online), each will receive proactive coaching sessions, self-help materials, and nicotine replacement therapy (available to eligible callers while supplies last).

Counseling and materials are available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole; translation services for all other languages and TDD service for the hearing-impaired.

Learn More About CDC’s “Healthy Schools” Initiative

Research shows that when students eat healthy and are more physically active, they do better in school. With the help of CDC, communities nationwide are putting this research into practice, year-round.

Learn more about what communities are doing to help schools become places where students not only learn about the importance of eating healthier and being more physically active but, in fact, eat healthier and move more.
