------------------------------

The Pinellas County Health Department is working with county partners to implement programs that improve access to healthy foods and places to be physically active in Pinellas County and its 24 municipalities. We’re committed to making the healthy choice the easy choice throughout Pinellas County.

Our efforts include: promoting active transit options, parks and trails, and an increase in physical activity through media campaigns; increasing access to healthy food and drinks, safe places for activity, and safe routes to school; and working with local governments on city planning, signage for neighborhoods, and signage for public transportation and bike lanes. Our partners include the Health and Human Services Coordinating Council for Pinellas, Pinellas County Government, Pinellas County Schools, Pinellas County’s 24 municipal governments, businesses, and faith-based groups.
