Establishing an early foundation for healthy habits can make them last a lifetime. Sesame Workshop’s Healthy Habits for Lifeinitiative makes developing healthy habits simple and fun. Our materials include key messages for children and adults, such as “eat a rainbow” of colorful fruits and vegetables, to help children get the nutritious foods they need to stay active, grow, and learn.
Regular physical activity benefits all areas of children’s development at all ages. It builds strong bones and muscles, improves social and emotional skills, and supports a child’s ability to learn new concepts. Moving together also boosts self-confidence and makes everyone feel good. At Sesame Workshop, we know that children love to run, jump, and play; our materials help channel their natural energy into activities that keep them fit and strong.
Finding exciting ways to make healthy eating and exercise a part of children’s everyday routine helps them build good habits for life. By working—and playing—together, children can live every day the healthy way.
