I currently work for the Orange County Health Department, located in Orlando, FL. Here are a few of my accomplishments: 

  • Designed and developed the Tobacco program mobile website, www.allintohealth.mobi Launched in March 2011.
  •  Designed and developed the Tobacco program website, www.allintohealth.org Launched in January 2011. 
  • Designed and developed the Orange County Health Department’s new Employee Intranet. Launched in October 2010.
  • Received a Promising Practice award from the National Association of City and County Health Organizations for www.orchd.mobi 
  • Developed the first mobile Health Department website, www.orchd.mobi, in the State of Florida, for use with iPhone, Blackberry, and other mobile devices. Launched in April 2010.
  • Designed and developed the Orange County Health Department’s website, www.orchd.com Launched in October 2009.
  • Received a YouTube People’s Telly Award for Protect! Don’t Infect! video. 
  • Launched the department’s social media program in February 2009, by creating and maintaining a channel on YouTube.

Cities Aim to Ban Smoking

Cigarette smoking in public parks could be banned if the Winter Park City Commission gets the right to do so, but that means overturning a Florida law. At its Nov. 28 meeting the Commission passed a resolution asking the state to do just that.
