Yesterday, the Austin City Council passed an ordinance that will ban smoking in all public parks and green spaces, including public golf courses. The only exemptions are that actors may smoke while filming and golfers may smoke if they are in a round of golf, between the first and last hole only. Austin is dedicated to becoming a cleaner, healthier city and here's proof! Here's a news story talking about the change, to go into effect 2/1/12.
