Attention birders and lovers of all things nature!  Did you know that we have one of the premier birding sites in Florida right here in Pinellas County?  Sawgrass Park in St. Petersburg is mentioned by the Great Florida Birding Trail and the National Audubon Society as just that.  Come see unique birds and a lot more in this beautiful 400 acre park housing one of the largest maple swamps on the Gulf Coast.  Take a stroll along the mile long boardwalk to see many natural plants and animals including herons, egrets, wood storks, alligators and turtles, not to mention the occasional butterfly or two.  Climb the observation tower to get a great view of the thousands of birds that migrate through the park during the fall and spring.  And don’t forget to visit the education center to learn fun facts about the park and its history.  Sawgrass Park: another unique natural treasure in Pinellas County that is a great place to spend a morning or afternoon outdoors with the kids.  Link below for more information. http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/16_Sawgrass.htm
