YMCA of the Suncoast Offers Health-Smart Behavior Program
In an effort to help Pinellas County residents take control of their busy and sometimes not so healthy lifestyles, the YMCA of the Suncoast is offering a series of classes through the Communities Putting Prevention to Work Program that provide peer support and an lifestyle coach at no cost to those participants 18 and over!
In the Health-Smart Behavior Program participants will learn to make healthy behavior choices through an eight week series that includes goal setting, health and wellness education and peer support to increase and sustain targeted Health-Smart behaviors. The YMCA hopes that by working with others, participants will be inspired to change their behaviors and gain the accountability necessary to make those changes last. The classes begin May 3 and will be held each Thursday evening from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm through June 21 at the High Point Branch, 5345 Laurel Place, Clearwater, Florida. Additional classes will be held at the Ridgecrest Branch beginning May 22 and running through June 26 from 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm. Ridgecrest address is 1801 119th Street N., Largo, Florida.
